Terms of service
Last updated 10 June 2026 · plain English on purpose
What this is
shot by everyone lets event hosts create a shared photo album that guests upload to via a link or QR code. By creating an album or uploading to one, you agree to these terms.
Albums and payment
Paid plans are a one-time payment per event, processed by Stripe. Each plan includes a hosting period; after it ends the album locks, and following a grace period the photos are permanently deleted. We email hosts before this happens. Hosting can be extended for a fee at any time before deletion.
If something goes wrong on our side with a paid album, contact us and we'll make it right, including refunds where that's the fair outcome.
Your content
Photos and videos belong to the people who took them. Uploading gives the album's host and its guests the ability to view and download them, and gives us the limited right to store and serve them so the product works. We never sell your content or use it for advertising or AI training.
Hosts can hide or delete any upload in their album. Don't upload anything illegal, anything you don't have the right to share, or anything intended to harass. We can remove content and close albums that break this rule.
Takedowns
If a photo of you (or your child) is in an album and you want it gone, email hello@shotbyeveryone.com with the album link and a description. We act on these quickly.
The boring but important bits
The service is provided as-is; our total liability is capped at what you paid us for the affected album. We can update these terms, and will note the date above when we do. These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia.
